How to Publish an e-Chapbook on This Site

The Basics:
Simply e-mail your manuscript to publish@chapbooks-online.com. Submissions can be attached in a Word or WordPerfect document or copied and pasted into an email. Include title of the chapbook and a list of contents, in the preferred order.

A payment of $50 is all that is needed to start production. See Cost page to place the order.

Optional:
Select a design template appropriate for your poetry or story collection, single story, mini-anthology, novel excerpts, memoirs or essays.) Indicate your design selection when you email the manuscript. Include your phone number if you want to talk about it. This is optional. Chapbooks Online can take care of everything except writing the chapbook.

In addition to the writing itself, each e-chapbook includes a cover page and author bio page with contact information, previous publications and author photo, if you wish, so email these as well. If you have a photo or artwork you like for the cover page, please send that, too. Otherwise, Chapbooks Online will find something appropriate to your piece. Background and other colors will vary, depending on the cover art.

Editing and proofing. Consider hiring someone for an objective edit and proofreading. Ask for input on which poem, story or essay should go first, which one last, and whether the title invites the reader into the work. Also ask if the chapbook would be better if a few pieces were eliminated and strongly consider the advice. Chapbooks Online can arrange this service for you.

Post publication:
All rights revert to authors. Files will remain on this site unless authors request otherwise. Authors may have copies of the html and related files at any time.

The intention is to establish a network of links to the writing community and plenty of traffic to the site. This is a work in progress, stay tuned!

If your are interested in self-publishing via traditional print, please visit www.wordrunner.com/publish for information on perfect bound books (trade paperbacks) and stapled chapbooks.
